Team Sweden

The Swedish Energy Agency, Business Sweden and the Swedish Embassy in Jakarta are all part of Team Sweden, a group of government authorities and organizations that work to promote Sweden abroad.

Other Agencies and organizations that have or have had activities in Indonesia include the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency, The Swedish Environmental Research Institute – IVL, the Swedish Agency for Cooperation Development – SIDA.

National Energy Council

The Secretariat General of the National Energy Council (Dewan Energi Nasional) is the operating counterpart to the Swedish Energy Agency for the MoU on Energy Cooperation. The NEC has the task of suggestion future energy targets to the Indonesian Government, specifically directly to the President. It also has tasks of energy forecasting, energy modelling and security of supply issues.

The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources has the main responsibilities for regulations and development of the energy sector in Indonesia. Within BAPI contacts have primarily been fruitful with the Directorate General for New and Renewable Energy and Energy Conservation

Eurocham

Energy Working Group

The European Business Chamber of Commerce in Indonesia has a working group on energy issues. Sweden is represented in the group (currently by Business Sweden). The working group holds informative meetings with Indonesian government representatives and discusses energy policy developments as well as produces position papers from the perspective of European business in Indonesia.

APINDO – ISPC

Asosiasi Pengusaha Indonesia (Apindo) is the employers association of Indonesia. Their International Strategic Partnership Centre have engaged with BAPI as an organiser of matchmaking twice in 2019.  BAPI will re-engage with ISPC post Covid-19.

MASKEEI

Masyarakat Konservasi dan Efisiensi Energi Indonesia is the Indonesia Energy Conservation and Efficiency Society. BAPI and MASKEEI have had many activities together over the years, including matchmaking, exhibitions and fairs.

METI

Indonesia Renewable Energy Society

Masyarakat Energi Terbarukan Indonesia (METI) is the Indonesian Renewable Energy Society. BAPI and METI have engaged over the years in matchmaking activities and we have also joined several of METI’s co-hosted conferences and fairs, such as the EBTKE – Conex.

Indonesian Smart Grid Initiative

Prakarsa Jaringan Cerdas Indonesia (PJCI) – Indonesian Smart Grid Initiative – is an organization which actively supports the national grid company PLN in developing smart grid solutions. PJCI is an external think tank for PLN to implement smart grid technologies within Indonesia. BAPI has had workshops and seminars with PJCI and will according to demand continue to organize relevant events with PJCI.
